Can I take a picture of the dress I try on?

Yes you certainly may during gown try ons, they are extremely helpful during the decision process! We do not, however, allow pictures during alterations as it interferes with the seamstress. Pictures may be taken once the seamstress has completed pinning the gown.
 

Is wearing makeup to try on a dress ok?

We would ask you not to wear makeup when you come into the salon to try on dresses as we try to keep our samples as pristine as possible.
 

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are required evenings and Saturdays. This allows us to provide you with a more personal service experience and allow more time to help you find everything you need for your dream wedding.

What about Special orders?

Bridal gowns and veils as well as your selections for bridesmaids, flower girls, and most accessories are special orders. These garments are cut and prepared to the manufacturer’s schedule, which is usually a minimum of 8 months. Bridesmaids 6 months. This will allow 8 weeks for alterations.

Do you require a deposit?

A 50% deposit is required at the time of your gown order and is nonrefundable. The balance is due 15 days after us contacting you that your gown has arrived. Accessories are to be paid for in full before being ordered.

 

Do you accept returns?

Sorry, all sales are final. This final sale policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal and special occasion apparel.

What size of gown will I need?

We compare your measurements to the size chart provided by the designer. This determines the correct size of garment to be ordered. Please note that this is not a made-to-measure process, so alterations will likely be required. (Alterations are not included in the price of the gowns.)

Do you provide alterations?

Bridal Debut has professional, highly skilled seamstresses providing alteration services on site and by appointment for an additional charge. Alterations will begin once your gown is paid in full. Your seamstress will quote you on your alterations at your first fitting. Bridal Debut only accepts outside brides for alterations during the months of October - March. We do not do alterations on bridesmaid gowns, please contact us for recommendations.

When is the first fitting?

Please make an appointment for your initial fitting at least 8-12 weeks before your big day. Please call 2-4 weeks in advance to book your first fitting to ensure the time slot you require is available. Be sure to bring your shoes and any undergarments you will be wearing so that the gown can be fitted precisely. Crinolines are available to purchase at the time of your fitting, please come early if crinolines and/or shoes still need to be chosen. Your second fitting will be booked at the end of your first fitting.

How do I transport the gown?

As part of our complete bridal service, we offer one complimentary pressing and provide you with a protective cloth garment bag for transporting your garment. We suggest that you take down the train and hang the garment carefully at home so that it will require minimal attention before you wear it.
