BD Bride – Gown Order
We will place your order within 48 hours of your purchase. Typically orders take about six months, unless it was an in-stock item or a rush order. If you’d like to know the EDA (estimated date of arrival), give us a couple weeks and we can then share the designer’s delivery confirmation with you.
Once your dreamy dress has arrived, it will be received and steamed, you will then be contacted (if your contact information changes during the waiting period, please let us know). We require that the balance, if applicable, be paid within 15 days of being notified. Please book a “Try On Your Gown” appointment as soon as possible via our Appointments page or feel free to call us. This is also a good time to try on accessories (think veils and headpieces) as some of these items require a special order.
We ask that you take your gown home to store if you’re waiting until closer to your big day to have alterations done. If you’re planning to have your alterations done within six months of your gown’s arrival, feel free to leave it with us.
BD Bride – Off The Rack Purchase
We are happy to include basic cleaning and repair for wedding gowns purchased off rack. If the gown is in need of extensive cleaning or repair, or is discounted more than 40%, we will discuss this with you at the time of purchase and additional charges will apply (payment will be required prior to the work being done).Cleaning will be done before your first alteration appointment, while repairs typically occur during the alteration process. If you leave your gown in store for cleaning, we will contact you to book an alteration appointment once it is ready.
Please advise us at the time of purchase if you’re planning to have your gown altered elsewhere. In this case we will ensure it is both cleaned and repaired prior to pick up. Off the rack gowns are always free to take “as is” at time of purchase.
Book A First Fitting & Alterations
Team BD has a dedicated team of professional, highly skilled and experienced Bridal seamstresses that provide alteration services on site (and by appointment for a fee. If you decide to have your gown alterations done at Bridal Debut you need to book a fitting appointment. For fitting appointments, please call us to schedule an appointment at 780-467-4082. Your seamstress will quote you on your alterations at your first fitting (and any fittings that follow this). Remember, we require a minimum of eight to ten weeks for your alterations to be perfected.
If your timeline does not allow for this or if you’re from out of town, we have a list of seamstresses that we recommend (call us for more information). If your seamstress is not from BD or on our list, we caution that you check to ensure they have plenty of experience altering wedding gowns. We do not offer alterations on bridesmaid dresses or grad dresses, but the seamstresses on our list do.
Please Note: Bridal Debut will not be held liable for any damage or alterations to your gown that occur outside of the store.
Outside Brides (gown not purchased at BD)
Bridal Debut Gownhouse is happy to help brides that did not purchase their gown at Bridal Debut with their alterations from October to March (alterations need to be completed by the end of March). Your seamstress will quote you on your alterations at your first fitting (and any fittings that follow this). Please allow eight to ten weeks for your alterations to be completed.
